Résumé:   [en] 1st lines: President Emmanuel Macron may be the target of the gilets jaunes protests that have plunged the French government into a crisis, but if anyone is going to carry the can it is his prime minister Edouard Philippe. The protesters are calling for another day of demonstrations on Saturday and the authorities are preparing to deploy tens of thousands of police and soldiers in Paris to prevent further unrest after last weekend’s riots. If there is another flare up of violence, or if someone is killed, the prime minister’s position may become untenable.
